Our client, a well renowned and highly successful Workshop based in the Oxford area is looking for a Qualified Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join their team on a Permanent basis. You must possess at least 1-3 years recent experience as an Auto Technician in a main dealership, you must be fully qualified as a motor technician with your own tools.

The ideal candidate must be a team player, able to work to deadlines and targets but also be self-motivated, organised and able to multi task, to cope with the constant flow of work. You will be required to service, do some diagnostics.

Duties include:-

- Repairing and servicing vehicle booked into the workshop
- Diagnosing faults on vehicles
- Carrying out warranty work internal and retail
- Stripping, fitting and replacing components on vehicles
- Dealing with customer queries and diagnosing faults
- Advise Workshop Controller on any further faults where authority will need to be gained prior to work going ahead

The role will support a finance time with the purchase ledger transactional function. The main responsibilities are as follows;

-To scan or electronically submit purchase invoices into the IPS system, and validate the accuracy of the data
-To process invoices through IPS, and work with invoice approvers to deal with price, quantity and other queries in order to get invoices to a Pay’ status promptly
-To ensure manual invoices and credit notes are properly approved and coded, and process them directly onto the Purchase Ledger
-To respond to both Supplier and internal telephone and email queries
-To reconcile supplier statements, investigate reconciling items and deal with resulting queries
-To support the Intrastat process by maintaining records of EU purchases as required

Roles & Responsibilities of the Accountant role (Romford)

* Preparing and finalising accounts for Limited Companies
* Preparing VAT & Payroll
* Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals
* Assisting with year-end and statutory accounts
* Preparation of company and personal tax returns
* Preparation of monthly financial reports from prime entries for your client base - This will include preparation of Balance Sheet and P&L
* Undertaking projects and assignments as they arise
* Responsible for your own portfolio of clients Due to the small nature of the company there will be a number of ad hoc duties that will assist the accounting team
* Supervising and managing a team of 5 staff, so supervisory experience would be extremely beneficial
