We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer, with aspirations to continue your professional development, to join a well-known, leading multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultancy in a team based in Reading or Oxford.

Our client works throughout a number of offices dotted around the UK and across Europe and over the years has gained an excellent reputation for its innovative and sustainable structural design solutions. Our client is currently working on a number of unique and well-recognised bridge/rail projects around the UK and so the chosen candidate will get the chance to work on a variety of interesting bridge structures projects from inception through to completion stage.

In order to be considered for this Senior Bridge Engineer role you will;

* Have gained a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
* You will be Chartered or working towards Chartership with ICE or IStructE (for senior level)
* You will have a minimum of 5 years’ (or more) experience within a structural design office
* You will display a positive, enthusiastic approach to work
* You will work well as part of a multidiscipline team
* You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal

In order to be considered for this Senior Bridge Engineer role you will;

* Have experience mentoring graduate engineers
* Confident undertaking and coordinating the design, checking and assessment of bridges, retaining structures and foundations
* Liaising with the Project Manager to establish a clear definition of the project requirements
* Supporting other disciplines in multi-disciplinary projects
* Coordinating the technical aspects of the projects, including reports, calculations and drawings in accordance with the Practice’s QMS, EMS and H&S procedures
* Managing the work output effectively to meet client brief, budget and programme requirements
* Assisting with the preparation of bids

CCTV Installation and Repair Engineer

My client is a large security and engineering firm in the UK with a national presence. They have a great reputation for being one of the best engineering companies in the security business and are a market leader in the industry.

They are currently looking for an experienced CCTV, intruder and Access control engineer to install and maintain Security Systems. This includes preventative and corrective maintenance. You will also have to complete protocol site surveys, give customer quotations and inform new customers of your services.

This role will mainly be on the domestic side of the business with a future on look into commercial CCTV and access systems. This opportunity is for a full time member of the team and includes an on call rota and customer response rota.

For this particular role we are looking for engineers in the Newcastle & surrounding areas, NE.

Role and responsibilities:

·To be the point of call for local customers
·To give high level knowledge and customer service
·To be flexible around hours to ensure good service
·To identify, manage and investigate & potentially prevent false activations
·Repair faults and identify faults
·Install new systems that are to the highest Health & Safety standards
·To use your Health and Safety knowledge to look after yourself and colleagues
·To make quotes on new system and equipment

Experience, qualifications and Knowledge:

·Over 2 years experience in the Security Systems industry (Installation ideally)
·CCTV & Access knowledge
·Ability to service and repair systems
·Experience with wired and wireless systems

·A friendly and approachable character
·Preferable Knowledge of intruder alarm standards i.e. BS4737 EN50131, PD6662, DD243, BS8243.

ROLE: Area Engineer

SALARY: £30,000 - £36,000 (DOE)

To offer customers effective and safe engineering designs for excavations, Formwork, Falsework and building refurbishment projects. Liaise effectively with other team members within the regional engineering office, other regional engineering teams, other departments and clients.
Duties will include, but not be limited to;

Scheme Design
Liaising with Rep to finalise design brief details to ensure the clients’ requirements are accurately captured.
To prepare designs for temporary works schemes for excavations, Formwork, Falsework and building refurbishment projects, based on the use of the Company’s proprietary systems, and equipment. All schemes are to be prepared in accordance with the Clients work instructions under their ISO 9001 quality procedure.
The schemes shall be performed under the guidance and supervision of the Regional Engineering Manager (REM).
Providing clear design information to the checking engineer.
Effective communication with the engineering team and Rep to ensure timescales are understood and agreed by all concerned parties.
Prepare an equipment parts list.
Attend client meetings and carry out site visits.

Drawing General
Efficient use of AutoCAD to produce high quality drawings.

Quality Assurance
Complying, monitoring and improving (where necessary) the Clients QA Procedures.

Health & Safety
Complying with Management H&S documents. Producing safe designs, schemes, method statements and risk assessments in accordance with CDM Regulations 2007. Contributing to improving safety systems.

Complying with Management Environmental documents.

Customer Service & Business Development
Ensuring provision and maintenance of high level of service in all areas. Liaising with Commercial Department to ensure customer satisfaction. Identifying and developing new business opportunities.

Effective use of computers. Support to other teams departments as required. Communicating with clients via email/letter/telephone. Correct and timely completion of timesheets/expenses etc.

Specific Duties

Under the direction of the appropriate Line Manager:

- Sweep, suction clean, mop, dry buff, spray clean, spray wax, machine scrub and dry, strip and re-polish floors using appropriate equipment.
- Clean and remove stains of soft floor surfaces (carpets/matting) using the appropriate cleaning method.
- Clean toilet and shower area including the fixtures and fittings.
- Clean, wash and dust ledges, wall, fixtures, fittings and internal surfaces up to 3.35m. Polishing furniture, where appropriate.
- Empty and clean internal litter bins and remove litter to the designated collection points.
