Senior Town Planner - London

Up to £45,000 p/a + strong benefits package

Penguin are pleased to be working with one of the UK’s largest consultancies who, as part of a UK wide recruitment drive are recruiting a Senior Town Planner to their London office. This is an exciting time in our client’s development as they build on their established position as a leading provider of statutory planning services in the UK.

The role

Based within a busy planning team you will work on a wide variety of planning projects taking forward planning applications, planning appraisals, monitoring and development plan advice. You will assist with day-to-day responsibilities for running projects under the direction of a Director alongside supporting junior team members. In addition, you will liaise with clients and local planning authorities; third parties; other consultants and other planning stakeholders. It is beneficial if you have experience in identifying and securing new business. In this role you will work across a mixed portfolio of Retail, Residential, Student Accommodation, Office and Hotel projects.

Job requirements

-RTPI accredited degree and /or masters

-MRTPI

-3+ years experience (Public or Private sector)

-Excellent report writing skills

-Strong interpersonal skills

-Professional attitude and dedication to career

-Ability to express arguments succinctly and effectively directly and in writing

-Enthusiasm and willingness to develop a career in a private sector planning consultancy
